VP Operations & Production Opportunity Snapshot
Diversified horticulture operation with a wide variety of perennials, ornamentals expanding rapidly with the right Vice President who can lead the propagation / production department. Will guide the daily operation through best practices, efficient use of resources, systems, methods and improving the plants, people, equipment, processes and systems.

Manage the entire operation including planning, propagating, production and delivery of a high quality product to maximize customer satisfaction.
Establish production and inventory tracking as well as quality control protocols.
Determine quantity to be grown based upon budgets, projections while collaborating with other departments including sales and finance.
Grow, care and maintain the highest quality plants using best growing practices including
Determining optimal growing conditions and care schedules.
Manage fertilizers, pesticides, irrigation and environmental controls.
Make recommendations to improve quality.
Maintain accurate inventory to meet customer demands maximizing the use of current infrastructure while developing a plan and budget to improve the infrastructure.
Manage all operations and staff to improve processes, increase productivity and increase net profits including
Managing equipment, facilities, raw materials, production and costs to maximize effective manufacture.
Strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources
Forecasts, budgets and tracking reports for P&L, propagation, production, labor and equipment
VP needs to be highly productive, drive efficiency and be results driven.  Loyal, trustworthy, independent thinker and be self-motivated will be the core of values needed to be successful in this role.  A desire to build, grow a successful operation, a willingness to roll up sleeves and get to work is essential.
A degree in horticulture or related field
5+ years of related work experience as a propagator with production experience
A proven track of success with all the requirements listed above
